My Top Ten Brings All the Boys to the Yard

Here's the official BCS Standings Top Ten:

1. LSU (10-1)
2. Kansas (11-0)
3. West Virginia (9-1)
4. Missouri (10-1)
5. Ohio State (11-1)
6. Arizona State (9-1)
7. Georgia (9-2)
8. Virginia Tech (9-2)
9. Oregon (8-2)
10. Oklahoma (9-2)

This is the way I think it should be right now and why:

1. LSU (10-1)

One loss in the tough SEC is more than enough with this year's myriad of upsets and letdowns. One loss against #17 Kentucky, with five victories against other top 25 times is plenty enough to cement their spot at number 1.

2. Kansas (11-0)

Undefeated. They scored 76 points on Nebraska. NEBRASKA FOR GOD'S SAKE!

3. Missouri (10-1)

Besides a shootout loss to Oklahoma, Missouri has had some very convincing victories over a rising Illinois team, a run-and-gun offense in Texas Tech, and a strong pass attack in Kansas State.

4. West Virginia (10-1)

Pat White is running his team to victories. Which is good news; this takes tons and tons of pressure off of Slaton now, freeing him up to make some moves in the open field. Look for the Mountaineers to run over the Big East. WAIT, PAT WHITE CAN THROW THE BALL TOO? Don't be surprised if you see the Mountaineers playing for more than just a BCS birth here soon.

5. Arizona State (9-1)

The Pac-10 is the strongest conference in the nation (Oregon, ASU, USC). This is what gives the Sun Devils the nod over Ohio State. That, and the fact that besides a so-so Michigan, Ohio State hasn't played anyone this season.

6. Ohio State (11-1)

The Big-10 is always tough. Just not so tough this year I guess. Besides a victory over a struggling and aching Michigan squad, the Buckeyes really haven't played anyone this season. Their biggest test of the year came in surprising Illinois, who, led by QB Juice Williams, passed their way to an easy victory.

7. Oregon (8-2)

Oregon has beaten 4 teams this season who, at one point during this season, was ranked within the top ten (Michigan, California, Arizona State, and USC). Dennis Dixon is making a run at the Heisman Trophy and the Ducks have only a struggling UCLA and Oregon State squad to finish off before their surefire BCS birth.

8. Georgia (9-2)

With 4 victories this season over the top 20, the Dog's get the nod over a tough V-Tech squad.

9. Virginia Tech (8-2)

Tech is shining as of late, and besides 2 close losses to LSU and BC, Tech could be right up there in the top 5.

10. Hawaii (10-0)

Colt Brennan is breaking virtually every passing record at Hawaii, let alone the nation. The Rainbow Warriors are undefeated. What more can you ask for?
